we are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars

What are some activities my hypothetical 45 year old aunt would like to do in Palmerston North?
How far from our house are they? (If you know? Because I doubt I will.)
Also, what should I name her? (Muahaha.)

Isn't it wonderful that our good old aunt Gemima is coming to visit. She may like to go to the science centre, the globe, or munchkins. If she is from around here, she may like to go to the local cafe/bar place and meet some of the people she knew when she was young.

The science centre and the globe could work...
But I'm afraid shopping and eating out aren't allowed to count.
Grr.
Gemima, ay?
Lol.

Gemima duck.

Jemima duck. Hah!
I think I might name her Jesska.
Heh heh heh.

I will never be any of the things which '45 year old aunt' brings to mind. Not old, ugly, or funny-smelling.
NEVER!

Bridget said...

Never gonna eat Thai food then?
*shakes head*
You shouldn't be so closed-minded, Jess.
It may protect you from severe burns to the tongue, but in the long run it's... er... bad.
Or so I'm told.
By you.

I didn't mean I would never smell funny. I meant that I will never smell like a 45 year old aunt who comes to visit.

Bridget said...

Hehe.
Ah but maybe one day you will be a 45 year old aunt (Ellen can have kids).
Then whatever you smell like will be, by definition, the smell of a 45 year old aunt.

Jess said...

I OBJECT! Bridget, the smell of a 45 year old aunt who comes to visit is not necessarily what a 45 year old aunt who comes to visit will smell like. Understand? Sort of?

Bridget said...

Amazingly, yes.
I just find it strange that you think people smell their aunts.
I know I don't.

Jess said...

Bridget, you're in denial. Hundreds of perfectly ordinary kiwis smell their aunts every year. It's normal.

Err........
